You need a lawyer.
I don’t know where you live, but do you have local Advice services? (In the UK, Citizens Advice Bureaux, or Law Centres) . if you can’t afford a lawyer at all, you need to at least get some free advice.

Call the family court in your area. They are very helpful. If you have had sole custody for 13 years the judge will take that into account as long as you do not have marks against you—-drinking, drugs, abuse etc…My guess is your ex has a new girlfriend/wife it has something to do with her to promt this action after so many years.

Select your state, then click on Free Legal Help for help finding your local Legal Aid Society, a pro bono lawyer, or other help, depending on what you may qualify for.
