I filed for divorce from my husband but now we are attempting to work on things. It was uncontested divorce and I did it myself, did not get an attorney. After 61 days I am supposed to show up to court and see the judge and the divorce will be final. What happens if I do not show up to court to finalize the divorce? Will it just go away or what will happen?

That can vary from state to state. I would call the court clerk ask her.Just to be on the safe side. Maybe you could ask for a continuum. That will give you more time to figure out what you want to do. Hope you are able to reconcile though.Good luck!

Chances the judge won’t rule on the matter without you being there. If it is your intention to end the divorce then you need to appear in court and say so……..

You will still be married. Just be sure that you two will stay together. If not you will have to start the proceeding all over again.
