If you live in another state than your spouse and you need to file for divorce, can you file it while in the state your in currently? Or how would you file for divorce?

You can file in the state that you live in. It doesn’t matter if the two of you are in two different states. Find an attorney who will give you a free consultation and you can ask the questions that you want to know. In most states you have to be a resident in any state for 6 months for the divorce to be legal. The attorney will sometimes ask how long you have been a resident in the state that you are now in.

You can file for divorce online also.
