I just filled my divorce forms in the court and I was wondering whether I can leave the country for a week or 2 weeks. What do I need to do?
I just filed my divorce forms in the court in Caifornia. I am the only one planning to leave the country around December, since my son lives with his mother and grandparents. I dont have attorney.

sure, you can leave the country for 2 weeks, since it is a pending action..not in court at this time..note the ex can use this against you later in court
If it is just you then you should be fine, just let your attorney know. However if you are planning to take your children then that is an entirely a different answer and the best one to advise you is your attorney.
