Christian C asked:

Our divorce was 3 years ago and was settled in Polk County. She now resides in Orange Co and I reside in Lake County, where do I file?

I believe you would have to file in Polk County because that is the court that everything took place.

I’m pretty sure you have to go back to Polk County…Do you live in Florida?

Read your divorce paperwork and see if the two of you agreed on jurisdiction or it is in there. I would file in the court the divorce is in and if this is an inconvenient forum for her, she can ask that it be moved. See an attorney for these questions, because state laws vary and I am in Tennessee.
