My life is now complete PWKRJC! asked:

I am wanting to go to court so I can have a paper in front of me telling me when my Son will be with me and when my Son will be with his Father because I cant stand not knowing when my Son’s Father is going to call and ask for him again. So my question is when you went to court for custody what was the outcome how much did you have your child and how much did the other parent have them? I know that prices are different everywhere but I would like to know how much you had to pay for a lawyer. Thank you for your time.

When my husband went to court with his ex they got joint custody of his two children. She has physical custody of the two girls but they both have a say in any life decisions.
He gets his girls every three weeks, four weeks in the summer, spring break, and odd number years he gets the girls for thanksgiving and christmas day till they go back to school.
It cost us like 2500 but that was everything including if we have to go back to court for anything.

We, luckily, settled everything out of court through our lawyers, with the help of a consent order (which is later signed by a judged, so it’s legally binding).

I got to have sole legal and physical custody of my son. For the first 3 months, he only had the child from 1-4 every other Sunday, supervised (our son didn’t know him really, and he didn’t know how to care for a child). I also got it ordered that he had to take anger management classes. After 3 months, he got to have the child overnight every other weekend, from Saturday at 4:30 until Sunday at 7PM. He also gets to have the child one evening a week, from 5-7 (because of his work schedule… was supposed to be an afternoon but he never takes a day off).

I get my son 90% of the time.
I paid 1200$ for my lawyer, including filing fees, consent order, emergency custody hearing request (never happened, we settled before) AND my divorce. Ex-husband was a cheating jerk.

I am coming across people everyday needing help with legal questions and money is always an issue. I do believe I can offer you some advice or at least get you started. There is a service that is a small payment every month for lawyer services and it is the best thing I have ever done. I would recommend them anyday of the week. I am a member and I feel safe and secure knowing I have an attorney within reach 24/7 even on Christmas! I would love to give you my associate’s number and she will be glad to guide you. Her name is Jane Lehman and her number is 1-877-586-2515 just tell her Kim B. sent yah. (a payment of 30.00 or less every month) Give it a try and I hope you get the rights that you deserve.
